Educational Qualification
Stenographer Grade-III
- Must have passed 2nd PUC (12th Standard) or possess a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice or an equivalent qualification.
- Must have passed Senior Grade Kannada and English Typewriting and Senior Grade Shorthand examinations conducted by the Department of Public Instruction.
Typist
- Must have passed 2nd PUC (12th Standard) or possess a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice or an equivalent qualification.
- Must have passed Senior Grade Kannada and English Typewriting examinations.
Note: Candidates whose Class 12 results are awarded in grades must convert them into marks and retain the supporting documents.

Selection Process
1. Skill Test
- Stenographer: Candidates must take Kannada and English dictation at a speed of 120 words per minute for 5 minutes and transcribe it within 45 minutes using computer software.
- Typist: Candidates must complete Kannada and English typing tests conducted on a computer.
Each language test carries 100 marks, and candidates must secure at least 50 marks in each paper to qualify.
2. Interview
- Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews in a 1:5 ratio based on their educational qualifications and skill test performance.
- The interview carries 5 marks.
