ICFRE IWST Recruitment 2026: The Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST), Bengaluru, under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), has released a recruitment notification for 06 vacancies.
The available positions include Technical Assistant (Field/Lab), Technician, and Junior Translation Officer. Candidates with 10+2 in Science, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Master’s Degree can apply depending on the post.
The selection process includes a written examination consisting of objective-type MCQs, document verification, and an interview. Eligible candidates need to apply through offline mode before the deadline.

Educational Qualification
Technical Assistant (Field/Lab):
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized university, with Botany as one of the subjects.
Technician:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 in Science with at least 60% aggregate marks, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognized board.
Junior Translation Officer:
Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Hindi or English from a recognized university, with Hindi/English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level.
Candidates holding a Master’s Degree in a subject other than Hindi or English may also be eligible if they studied Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects at degree level, or if one language was the examination medium and the other was a compulsory/elective subject.
Age Limit
The applicant’s age should be at least 18 years and not more than 30 years as on 05 August 2026.
Age relaxation will be applicable to eligible candidates as per the applicable government rules.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive a salary according to the post:
- Technician: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100
- Technical Assistant (Field/Lab): ₹29,200 – ₹92,300
- Junior Translation Officer: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through:
- Objective-Type MCQ Written Examination
- Document Verification
- Interview
Application Fee
The total application fee is ₹1,000, which includes:
- Application Fee: ₹400
- Processing Fee: ₹600
The fee must be paid through a Demand Draft of any Nationalized Bank, payable at Bengaluru in favour of Director, Institute of Wood Science and Technology.
No other payment method will be accepted.
