Karnataka High Court SDA Recruitment 2026: The Karnataka High Court, Bengaluru, has announced a recruitment opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for Second Division Assistant (SDA) posts. Selected candidates may be posted at the Karnataka High Court’s Principal Bench in Bengaluru or at the benches located in Dharwad and Kalaburagi, depending on the requirements of the department.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess a degree from a recognized university in any of the specified disciplines, including Science, Arts, Commerce, Business Management, Computer Applications or Business Administration.
Candidates belonging to the General and other eligible backward categories should have secured at least 55% marks in their degree. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories, the minimum required marks are 50%.
Age Limit
The minimum age to apply is 18 years.
The maximum age limit is:
- General Category – 40 years
- 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B – 43 years
- SC, ST and Category-1 candidates – 45 years
Applicable age relaxations will be provided according to the recruitment rules.
Salary Details
Candidates selected for the SDA post will receive a pay scale of ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 per month. In addition to the basic salary, selected employees may receive applicable allowances and other benefits as per Karnataka High Court rules.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a competitive examination and interview.
The written examination consists of:
- Essay in English – 30 marks
- Kannada to English Translation – 30 marks
- General Knowledge – 20 marks
- Interview – 20 marks
The examination carries a total of 100 marks, and candidates are required to obtain the prescribed minimum qualifying marks.
Application Fee
The application fee for General Category and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates is ₹350.
For SC, ST, Category-1 and eligible Persons with Disabilities candidates, the fee is ₹200.
The fee can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
